South summit (Háihnúkur)
Cloudy. If you're looking for a great peak close to Reykjavic like I was, consider Hengill. I tagged it during the Hengill ultramarathon so I came from Hveragerði, but there is a nice approach from the South from the Hellisheiðarvirkjun power plant that will allow you to traverse most of the entire ridge, and I believe there are even shorter approaches from the north.

I had a couple people waiting for me so I rushed up to the summit and back in just under 2 hours.
