Once again...
Once again, normal route. Nice day and always a fine mountain to be at and enjoy the views. I only wonder when the swiss are going to open the 'summit bar'... ;-)

Hohlaubgrat
Snow conditions and slow parties we (Jck (Jacek), Lukasz, Grzesiek and I) met on the 35m high rocky barrier made this ascent rather tiering - melted snow mixed climbing. Descended by the same route. We slept in the tents below Britannia Hut.
Nice and rather short route to the summit. We (Radek ( brade ), Lukasz, Grzegorz and me) slept in tents just below Britannia Hutte. Started little bit too late and the rocky barrier below the summit was in rather bad snow conditions. Descended by the same route to our tents.
First and the last time in Britannia Hutte...
In memory of Dorota and Jan Andrulonis: a Polish couple who died on Allalinhorn the day before our climb.

NW Ridge
My wife and I climbed this while vacationing in Saas Fee. This was her first glacier climb and first 4000m peak and she did great. We had glorious weather all day long and both felt in good shape for the climb. This is a really popular mountain and we ran into all sorts of people on the ascent. It is still a sweet climb though, the summit is quite precarious for such a broad mountain and the views of the Pennine Alps are might fine.

By foot in the winter
Due to bad weather we changed our plans to climb Weißmies and ran up Allalinhorn on the normal route by foot (because my partner had not been into ski-mountaineering).
Fast one-day 4000m ascent even it took some energy to "walk" through deep snow by foot in the winter.

Again here. It is a nice way to acclimatise before heading to Strahlhorn. Started from the Britannia Hütte early in the morning. This time the weather was great.
Strolled up with my brother James from Alpinmetro to acclimatise. Cloudy on top, but still hot in sunshine and lots of snow around.

First 4000er, Hohlaubgrat
Hohlaubgrat was very nice and easy, just before the summit a bit of easy mixed climbing. Decended via the normal route onto the biggest summer ski aera of Switserland, what a waste!

After one try on the Hohlaubgrat and 3 plans of climbing the route we did the north face. An easy, but beautiful climb. Not very difficult. The weather turned from beautifull to cloudy.

Easy but rewarding
Short, easy, all right... but a four-thousander nevertheless. Your lungs say so when you are up there. Ideal for newcomers to high altitude. I enjoyed it, that's for sure. We came up via Mittelallalin and Feejoch.
