Finally
I finally found myself in Kane County, so I drove to Navajo Lake and climbed the county's tallest peak (Andy Nelson Peak). Then I made my way up its neighbor Navajo Peak.

Easy, quiet hike
I parked near the turnoff for Navajo Lake Lodge and followed the trail up. Once I reached the saddle and left the trail I followed the ridge straight up to the peak, which was a little shwhacky but not too bad. On the way down I went almost straight down from the geocache and it was easier. I only saw two people the entire time, one solo mountain biker on the way up and another on the way down.
I have a good friend named Andy Nelson, so naturally, we had to summit this little flat topped, and meadowed high point in the area. Not much of a climb, or worthy peak, but it was fun nonetheless. We started from the end of the oiled road, that passes Navajo Lake, and went up the Virgin River Rim Trail to the saddle. Took an hour and 15 minutes to summit.

Nice Little Walk
Wish I had time for Navajo Peak as well but I have to go find the Kane County High point.

short, hot
Stopped by Andy Nelson peak on the way home from camping in Pine Valley. Pretty easy hike and there wasn't much bush to whack. The sun was brutal though.

Great view of Zion
Climbed with my family. Easy on the Virgin River Rim trail up to the saddle, then a challenging but short scramble up to Andy Nelson. We looked pretty well, but found no register to sign.

Morning Hike
From Navajo campground to the Virgin Rim Trail, then up the slope. Back down via the lodge trail and the road. Views of Zion, Brian Head, Signal and the Aquarius Plateau.

Perfect fall day
This climb is pleasant, even the bushwhacking up the final 400'+. At the summit a small flock of sheep looked on with modest curiosity as I dug out the small summit log from the Yuban Coffee canister. Did this point after slogging around looking for the "true" Kane County highpoint.
