"Got tight last night on absinthe and did knife tricks. Great success shooting the knife into the piano. The woodworms are so bad and eat hell out of all furniture that you can always claim the woodworms did it."

With Windy PointStarted cool and sunny...ended dreadfully cold, cloudy and windy. I like the Bonanza area because it's not overrun by humanity like much of the mountain areas of Colorado.

Southeast Ridge LoopClimbed up the southeast ridge route from Kerber Creek and then traversed the long bumpy ridge over to Sheep Mtn's northeast summit then back down to the car. About 7 1/2 mile loop with 3500' of elevation gain, but the elevation gain may be lower (GPS tends to add a foot or two per posthole). Not much snow, mostly just between 11,500 and treeline.

From the eastI'm ashamed to admit that I've forgotten our exact route now, but it was a rather short, easy hike. There was a thick blanket of fog so the views we were looking forward to were hidden.
