Jiggy with Jigsaw
First time up Jigsaw Pass and found it to be rather exciting by staying on the right wall and making my scramble Class 3-4 to the pass, then staying pretty much on the ridge proper to Aperture, more Class 4. Just plain fun!

Constant dizziness due to altitude sickness.
My third day of hiking and I was still battling altitude sickness. All my way up and down this peak I was dizzy, drowsy and loopy, barely holding my balance. I went up the Jigsaw Pass, which in itself was very nice climbing. At the top of the pass I did not see the clear way up to the summit and I went on a few wrong directions before managing to get to the summit. When I came down, at the bottom of the pass, I found a snow field which I followed all the way down to its end, not wanting to go over the moraine anymore. Lucky me, the snow field ended only feet away from the Bishop Pass Trail. However, the general feeling of dizziness never left me, so in the end the hike/climb was not a pleasurable one.
We traversed from the pass past the class 3 route to some slightly more difficult terrain but still summitted despite threatening clouds.

from Gendarme
The descent to Jigsaw Pass sucked, but once you got to the solid rock, it was a nice class 3 climb. Interesting register with a little history of its own.

2007 Sierra Challenge
Day 5 was an easier outing. With Ryan Spaulding, tagged Picture Puzzle, Gendarme, and Aperture Peak. We descended from Jigsaw Pass at the correct location, only to take the more difficult chute because we didn't know better. Not the most obvious pass in the Sierra. Trip Report
Fourth peak of four today that included Chocolate, Picture Puzzle, Gendarme (+ 3 of 4 gendarmes), and Aperture. Descended via Jigsaw Pass. Unlike Mike, I'm glad the pinnacle wasn't the summit block -- make T-Bolt's summit block look like kid's stuff.
