A silk purse?

I really like this picture. A highway through barren wastelend and far off mountains. Separately not much but together great depth and sense of distance. I probably would have cropped out the highway and ruined the picture.

The funny thing is, I was driving to Reno from Las Vegas for the first time and I noticed a shorter, more scenic route from the main highway (95). So I took that instead and drove straight towards the White Mountains. It turned out to be a great decision.
