"So I was sitting in my cubicle today, and I realized, ever since I started working, every single day of my life has been worse than the day before it. So that means that every single day that you see me, that's on the worst day of my life."

Route Climbed: Northeast Slopes from McCollough Gulch Date Climbed: August 17, 2005Snuck in a quick ascent of this peak in an otherwise bad weather cycle. Windy day. The hike up to the peak is really beautiful.

Route Climbed: Traverse from Pacific Date Climbed: July 4, 2005Climbed Atlantic as part of a long loop including Helen, Father Dyer, Crystal & Pacific. Loved the scramble from Helen to Father Dyer! We finished with a traverse back east along Pacific's east ridge.

Route Climbed: NW Ridge from Mayflower Gulch Date Climbed: November 2005Beautiful day out in winter. Halfway up the ridge we were socked in by a snowstorm decreasing visibility. When my water started to freeze on the summit it was time to head down!

Route Climbed: SW Face, descent NW ridge Date Climbed: July 2003We climbed off trail up a loose and unpleasant gully (not recommended) and descended the more pleasant NW ridge back into the Mayflower Creek area. Climbed with Josh Ramey (ColoradoJosh).

Route Climbed: McCullough Gulch Trailhead Date Climbed: 09/2004I didn't see anyone while climbing this peak which was a treat .. just me and the mountain ...the East face contains some really loose scree

Route Climbed: Northeast Face Date Climbed: August 1 ,1987Climbing up the trail from McCullough Gulch, you encounter a huge boulderfield at the base of the crux pitch, a rocky scramble to the saddle north of the summit. Once past this obstacle, the summit is an easy stroll to the southwest.

Route Climbed: Crystal-Pacific-Atlantic Date Climbed: November 15, 2004After Crystal and Pacific Peaks, Atlantic was actually a relief: I wore my snowshoes all the way to the top. The trip down Atlantic's West Ridge, however, was tricky and dangerous w/ tons of snow and some ice. Started before sunrise this morning; didn't get out till after sunset.
TR coming soon...

Route Climbed: Northeast Face from Highway 9 Date Climbed: October 23, 2004Summited after the most recent snow storm. The head wall had about 5 inches of soft snow over a hard, icy base layer. Decided to go from the highway for a more enjoyable trip with a friend. Also took in Pacific Peak.

Route Climbed: From Pacific Date Climbed: 6/22/2003It seems like a lifetime ago that we climbed Atlantic. It was only one year ago tomorrow. We climbed Pacific first from Mayflower and then did the traverse over to Atlantic. Long day and I remember the ridge coming down Atlantic had some tricky snow patches. We also wallowed in the willows trying to get back to the car. Great day though.

Route Climbed: Mayflower Gulch to Crystal, Pacific, then Atlantic. Date Climbed: June 6, 2004Still a fair amount of snow in the valleys, but the trio made a great day hike.

Route Climbed: Traverse from Pacific, then down the West Ridge Date Climbed: June 7th 2001A fun route to be sure. The ascent of Pacific followed by a visit to the highest lake in north America (Pacific Tarn) followed by topping out on Atlantic Peak, followed by a descent of Atlantic's airy west ridge, is a sojourn not to be missed.
