This is the only really tricky bit getting up Augustine from this route as you go from sub 45 degree snow and scree to 60 degree mud which is prone to be slippy and crumble. Note the figure at the top, from here they will head straight upward to the end of the snow, take a left then start climbing upward onto the Clay Band. A fall here will take you down a
snow chute most of the way back down again possibly with a bone or two broken. See text for details.
