Your comment triggered me to take a closer look at these peaks and the map.
On the right is a minor summit on the long western ridge of Ausangate. Its coordinates are (13.798º S, 71.260º W) and I estimate its elevation around 5800m.
I don't know if it has ever been climbed, let alone if the ridge beyond has been traversed, but the map shows that it is about 4km from this peak to the main summit. The peak already looks quite difficult to me, and I have no idea about the conditions on the ridge. Count on at least one high altitude bivvy and bring plenty of food and fuel, I would say. Interested?
