Sounds like you guys had fun... I assume you were the folks in the red truck? We were in the Outback with OR plates.

Adam and Me
Hiked with my son Adam and some new friends on a beautiful day. This was my first time on this side of the San Gabriel's. Adams second mountain and he slept through the summit part.

Just out for a morning workout. After Baden-Powell I hiked over to Burnham then Jogged most of the way back down to Vincent Gap.

Perfect Southern California day, at least in the mountains. Bagged Throop Peak first, then went on to Baden-Powell and bagged Burnham Peak on the hike out. 4 1/2 hours car to car.

Nice morning for a hike. Met my friend Miguel at the trail head, hiked to the summit and back. Then went back to my house to go over last minute details and sort gear for our upcomming trip to Pico de Orizaba.

Decided to go out and count the switchbacks up Baden-Powell. 2 1/2 hours round trip. Counted 40 on the way up and 41 on the way down. Go figure, guess I'll have to go back and recount.

Nice early spring climb, reached summit about mid-day. Lots of folks on the summit, but I was the only one with skis, making an awesome descent down to just above the road.

Another Great San Gabriel Hike
My climbing partner's dog loved it, too!
It did become quite a zoo by mid morning. Glad I got an early -- albeit later than Apline -- start!

Nice hike
Battling a cold, so I went slow. Started at 7 am, saw no one until I was almost down. Kind of tedious at first but up high the views really opened up and made it worth every step.

Sunny Warm Day
Had a great hike with my dog Motzie. We did not see anyone until we were walking off the top. Met a couple of guys doing the PCT. Good Luck Fireball. The sign in box at the top has no paper can the next one heading up take a note pad.
Have summited many times. Will use as a training hike from time to time. Longest approach was from the Devils punch bowl parking lot. 20+ miles

A Good Workout
Have hiked it many times, this time was while hiking the PCT. The best route was from East Fork of the San Gabriel River, past the Bridge to Nowhere, to Vincent Gap and then down Islip to Bear Creek, a nice 3 day hike.

Winter Hike
I hiked from Vincent Gap in the snow. 12-24" of soft snow on the mountain and the hike was slow going up. Windy on the summit.

Vincent Gap
Great hike. I suffered my girlfriend through her first peak on this one. She did quite well for never having hiked before. Great weather that day.
I like taking my dogs on the section of the PCT from Dawson to Baden Powell. There aren't many people along that part and it may be the most beautiful section of trail in the Angeles.
