I was on Granite at the same time you were on this peak. As it seems we are at least a month and a half behind with trails opening up I think i will have to try this weekend warrior style soon. thanks for the report.
It is well worth it even on a foggy day. If you can figure out where that glissade leads it might make your descent a WHOLE LOT EASIER!! I love Granite Mountain though. The views are great and the mountain itself is a great highway trailhead hike. It has a special place in my heart similiar to Mt. Lafayette in New Hampshire. There is a killer glissade off Granite Mountain in early spring depending on avalache conditions.
