You know, the information is very limited about the rock. I do have a few pictures from the different views and it does not take on the shape of an upturned bell so much as a narrow wedge planed on its point. That 40 foot width at the top is likely only about 12 feet or so in the perpendicular direction. I have just added another photo that may make it easier to visualize.
