The section from Baldy Notch to the summit is fun, but the road from Manker Flat to the notch is ... well, it's just a road, not all that enjoyable to hike on. If I was going to suggest a route to someone who was in good shape, I'd suggest 3 T's either on the way up or the way down, with a car shuttle between Manker Flat and Icehouse Canyon.
