Nice autumn dayhike from Račkova dolina trailhead
Out-and-back following the green trail marks. The trail is quite comfortable and easy to follow, the hiker "only" has to overcome the 1300m of level difference. Weather was perfect with some wind in the open terrain. Short daytime prevented more ambitious plans of doing a loop involving Jamnícka valley but I wasn't disappointed at all.

Just in time
Up and down from the Žiarska dolina trailhead. It started as a beautiful sunny day, but as I sat on the summit, enjoying the views, a cloud appeared that I didn't quite trust. It was small, but dark. The cloud disappeared, but I took it as a sign and quickly descended the way I had come. Not long after I was back at the trailhead it started to rain, and soon it developed into a thunderstorm.

We chose this trail after first snowfalls in Tatra as alternative plan. Great views and weather;)

As I was two days at and above Ziarska valley, the second day we ascended to Ziarske sedlo from Ziarska chalet, then to Placlivy and Ostry Rohac, back to Ziarske sedlo, to Smrek, Baranec (highest point of the trip) and down to Ziarska valley. I was there with my brother and father. It was on my father's 50th birthday.
