Awesome Pic

What's the vertical on the face of the mountain shown in the photo?

Re: Awesome Pic

Do you mean what the angle of the slope is?

I found this for you:
"On an icy part, where the steepness reached 75-80 degrees"
"There will be 2000 meters of vertical ice and rock face"
"Height of the wall 2550 m"

Actually the peak on the picture (the one further left and back) is Khali Himal / Baruntse North (23,100 ft / 7041 m)

Re: Sorry...

If I recall correctly, this was snapped after climbing a few meters westwards along the ridge after gaining the pass.

Amphu I

As you wrote, the peak at the end of the ridge is Baruntse North. In the foreground, the highest point is called Amphu I (6840m Schneider map, 6740 Finn map)and is still unclimbed.
Great shot!

PS. Not sure where you got the altitude of 7319m for Baruntse, but the Himalayan Database give the altitudes of 7129m, 7152m, 7168m and 7220, with 7152m being the one considered as the most "authoritative".
