South Ridge
Climbed without aid with Dave Carman as a prelude to a single-day Grand climb starting a few hours later. The crux is tricky with approach shoes. A very fun climb. A bear crossed my path two days later about 200 yards from the boat dock ten feet from me. Great climb!

Scramble
After summiting the Grand, crossed Jenny's Lake to Baxter's. Chose to scramble up the side instead of climbing. Had lunch 50 meters below the summit in the shade. Great day and good views.

Returned to Baxter's Pinnacle August 15, 2005 with daughters Laura and Lisa Ledvora, now ages 11.5 and 13.5. Climbed crack variations with Cara L. of Exum Fun climb!!!! Great weather. Was warm-up for the Grand.
Climbed with daughters Lisa, age 10.5, and Laura, age 12.5; Nancy F. Exum guide(2004). Fun 5.9 move at the top. Summit plus great views! Friendly rock and safe down-climb.

Climbed with old friend Hugh Sakols-Fun route. After leading final pitch to summit and backing up old bolts, a local "guide" came up ahead of his client. He looked at my back-up and scoffed, "those bolts are just fine" and preceded to clip them as his sole anchor. Scary.

Climbed the route with Ella Reid. The opening move of the last pitch to the top is the crux... has the most exposure, too. A fun, quick outing: boat trip across Jenny Lake, short beautiful hike, and the pleasant climb with a great finish. Only downsides: the descent down the westside gully and the route is very popular with the general public & the guiding services (and their clients).

Climbed with David Kozak on my first day in the Tetons as a warm-up. Started on the first boat across Jenny Lake at 8AM and were back at 11AM. We soloed the first two pitches and belayed the rest. David did a nice job leading the crux. Really fun climb - nice and short.

South RidgeGreat multi-pitch Teton climb with a short approach. Climbed this one again during a "Women That Rock" climbing clinic in June 2004.

Route Climbed: South Ridge Date Climbed: June 2004Many lines to the summit pitch. The closer you stay to the ridge the better the route.
