Bear Creek Mountain
Nice hike for escaping the clouds and crowds in Western Washington and enjoying close up views of Mt. Adams, Goat Rocks and nearby Mt. Rainier.

Nice, mellow
Fun and easy, did it as an overnight backpack with my 7-year-old. The road's reputation seemed overstated to me, stress free in a Subaru, though there was one brief stretch just before the trailhead where I was very glad for my clearance. We camped at the base of the real uphill and made a couple trips to the summit for sunset and sunrise. There are 2-3 campable spots on the summit plateau, might consider staying there next time. Flowers were excellent, lots of lupine on top.
This was my second attempt. The first time I was experimenting with AMS and had uncontrollable giggles caused by a train of men with babies on their chests. But...this is a great mountain and amazing views.

Fall Sun
A beautiful hike up the trail. The ground was frosty but no snow yet. Coming around the summit, Mt. Rainier exploded into view. We took a nap in the warm sun before heading back down the trail for a bumpy ride home.
A very nice easy hike through colorful meadows in Autumn. Excellent views over towards the Goat Rocks crest though they were hidden a bit on this day by clouds.

Meadow-filled
Rough road in made the drive longer than expected, but this trail goes fast. Wish the clouds would have been a bit higher as the views are tremendous here. Didn't see any goats but a very friendly chipmunk resides on the summit. Easy hike and very enjoyable.

Best view of the Goat RocksThis mountain gives the most expansive view of the Goat Rocks, North to South. And from Adams to Rainier for that matter.
