Bad News
There are no views from the tractor seats near the summit now, and someone has stolen the benchmark.

Bearden
Not worth the hike in my opinion. Views are lackluster, the radio towers take away from the experience, and the trail itself is nothing special. There are better peaks in the park.

Bear Den and Calf
I started out from McCormick Gap and summited Bear Den Mountain. From there, I went on to Calf Mountain, where it started sprinkling as I was eating lunch. I didn't mind as it was pretty warm that day.

Calf/Bear Den comboEarly spring hike. An easy walk up to the summit. Nice, quiet morning on top, with no one around except my dog and me.

Working off pancakesAfter the All You Can Eat Pancakes at Weasies, it was a welcome walk up to the summit of Bear Den Mountain.

AT from Beagle GapHiked up here with my father on a blustery, cool June day. Views were very nice and almost made you forget about the big radio towers.
