Bears Ear East
A few inches of snow on the north side of the butte hid the old road/trail, and getting up was more of a challenge than it should normally be. A lot of deadfall. I found most but not all of the trail going down, and the melting snow turned the old road quite muddy.

Beautiful !
Walked from the high point where we were parked. Beautiful views even from the forest service road. Hiked to the high point of Bears Ears East on the eastern side of the butte (there is a BLM monument there) then hiked to the western edge where my dog & I had lunch. Second little summit for the day.

Incredible Place
An amazing butte with minimal effort to reach the summit. Well worth the trip. Watch out for horned toads!
