SW Gully from Parking Lot- Bike-Hike End Summer Slog
16 hours from the Eklutna Lake parking lot. biked in, climbed up chockstone 4th class chimney/scree, scrambled over top waterfall, then up the ridge to the moraine, and over to THE Gully. In early September this was nothing but talus and scree with some scrambling/easy climbing- takes longer with no snow. the rappel down chockstone on the return made life easy on wet rock. lots of goat bones. views are out of this world with fall colors. not really a hike but not really a climb either. super fun!

SW gully
Climbed Benign from Pichler's over the Flatiron and up the SW Gully. After a few failed attempts from Frear's Tears (too scary!) and from the Serenity Falls drainage area (routefinding difficulties), finally made the summit of this giant.
