Dogs

Sarah,

Do you belong to those four dogs?

Re: Dogs

Mike,

Yeah, I am food server and door opener to all four of these critters. (We used to have a fifth 'til old age got the best of her!) We've got 2 cats, too. Thank GOODNESS I continue to win the "no new horses!" battle or else our property would look like a zoo.

Gripe as I might, though - each of those four little faces really brighten my day. :)

Bennett Mountain

I LOVE the article on Bennett Mountain. I have lived "next door" to Bennett Mtn. for 35 yrs. Roundup Ranch. In all this time, I have never climbed although my husband has many times. I am elderly now...husband passed away....this is my goal for this summer, while my 6 grandchildren nearby are still here!

Re: Bennett Mountain

Thank you so much for your kind words about this lovely little mountain. You and your grandchildren will surely enjoy hiking to his summit. Please tell us about your hike! Wishing you fond memories of your late husband. Have a beautiful Rocky Mountain springtime!

All the best,
Sarah

Living on the mountain

I’ve lived at the base of Bennett mountain for around 15 years now and own the surrounding 40 acres. I had no idea others climbed or hiked it lol. I’ve never seen anyone up here. If you choose to hike this particular mountain, please be careful as we have an abundance of bears on the property and obviously don’t trespass. I’m happy to see people have climbed it though.
