Started from McMurray Meadows, passed Birch Creek. Hiked up from the East until I got to Fuller Creek dry bed and followed that untill the end. Than hiked up on a never ending slope that eventually continued to a couloir on to the Southeast slope. On the summit I realized that the North couloirs didn't have any snow and would have been much easier to climb. My route was not fun. I run out of water and had to hike down for 3 hours in the torching Sun.

Via Tinnemah Cyn
Taking an eastern chute and enjoying some Class 3-4 scrambling before settling in on the slog to summit. Great view of the inside of a cloud and ankle-deep snow up top. Long day!

From Birch Lake
Climbed one of the class 2/3 ribs on the NW slope. Pretty nice climb overall, 90%+ on firm rock. Not the slog I was expecting.
View from top was 60% fogged in unfortunately.

From Ed Lane
For the Sierra Challenge, traversed from the Thumb over Ed Lane, then down the SE slope back to Birch Creek TH. Reached the notch before the saddle by ramps to the west, then climbed out easy class 3. Trip report
Did a loop of Tinemaha, Split, Prater, Bolton Brown, and Birch mtn. Was out of water and pretty wasted on the descent. With Chad sometime in July 2010.

Nice ski
Pretty good conditions. Turned around above 13k, a bit too much altitude for day trip from LA...

From Bolton Brown
A very enjoyable climb up the ridge from Bolton Brown with Vitaliy, but for the exhaustion setting in near the end of a long day. It was a battle getting out to the car in the dark, but a fun outing overall.

Route Climbed: NW (snow) chute Date Climbed: 5-19-2000Spring snow turned this scree slog into a swell snow climb. The traverse over to The Thumb was not as swell due to the soft snow.
