Good day for a snow slog in the Jewel
Took a round about route. Started on the Crater Notch Trail, then at a large blown down tree in the trail before the trail wrapped around the south slope of ridge 6250 I took off for the summit of that ridge, then went down to a saddle between that ridge and the Birch Point Mountain, then up to the summit skirting through the trees as much as possible. Nice day, the snow never did get too soft and I didn't see anyone else until just about back to the parking lot.

third time
Third time up to this peak. Climbed twice in the 1980s with friends. Climbed the first time after fishing Martha Lake and bouldering above the lake. Great memories.
