What an amazing set of rocks up there! After losing Linda on 14er Crestone Needle, we hiked Bison as a memorial dedication to her. There were about 15 of us. It was sweet to remember and converse about her. She was a great mountaineer- rest in peace dear sweet Linda!

Summit log doesn't see much use
The summit log was almost a year old and didn't have very many entries at all.
The rock formations were great!

Second time on Bison
Beautiful day amongst beautiful rock formations. Second time up Bison, last time up was last October. I think this could become a regular peak for me to do.

Ute Creek Trail
What an awesome mountain. The rock formations above treeline are just spectular. Had the summit to myself, although I did see other people on the trail. Beautiful clear, sunny day, but a bit chilly (it was 27 degrees when I started) and a little breezy, but I still spent at least an half hour at the summit taking in this mountain's beauty.
I definitely plan on returning.

Ute Creek TH Southwest Slopes
On a crisp clear day I had the mountain to myself. A one of a kind summit that makes you want to meander around on a good day.
There wasn't as much snow as expected on this south facing trail, so we made good time until we got to the saddle. It wasn't as windscoured as expected above treeline, but we still had enough left in the tank to head over to McCurdy. Brutal combo hike with snow, but the views more than made up for it!
