Black and White Lakes

In 1955 my friends Harry Irwin and Dick Rosenow spend eight days in the Sawtooh Range climbing every one of the peaks from Mt Lincoln to Mt Cruiser. We made a traverse from Flapjacks around above Black and White Lakes up Mt Henderson and Mt Skokomish and back over Glady's Divide and back to Flapjack Lakes. At that time the area around Black & White Lakes had just burned over. Your picture looks much like it did then other that there were more dead and blackened trees standing. The area around the lake is a great huckleberry gathering area.
