Fun hike from Cooney Lake
Shot down on Desert Creek Peak, but Black Mountain was a nice consolation.. 2hrs up/down from Conney Lake. Silent prayer for all on the summit. On to Peeler Pillar and views from Mule Pass.. Good Stuff!

Skinned/climbed the NE bowl, hit the summit then skied some dreamy corn back down to Red Lake. Good stuff!

With Mount Olsen and South Peak. Easy hike from South Peak. Descended down a loose scree slope heading back towards the Virginia Lakes trailhead. Made for a very easy descent.

Did a little class 3 scrambling up after hiking down from Excelsior. From the summit, traversed over to South Peak.

This was the final day of ten I spent in the Eastern Sierra... a pretty weak effort, but I was pretty tired by that point, had had enough of the snow, and was ready to head home. Good views of Whorl, Matterhorn, and Conness.

Came up from Bridgeport after work, cruised up South Peak and continued along the ridge to Black Mountain, and descended the Northeast Ridge to arrive back at the car just before dark.
