Black Widow Hollow
David (UK Dave) and I did Y2K in the morning, then he wanted some chimney practice before heading back to home. Slid on over and did this bastardly beast (pitch 2). It is obvious this route is not climbed much, bunch of sand in the face type of deal. No fixed pro anywhere which was refreshing. An in and out, hard to protect, loose rock, mother of a chimney on that 2nd pitch. David broke his finger 2nding the pitch, so I nabbed pitch 3 as well, which sort of made up for all the cursing below (leading a deep chimney with draws!). The third pitch was a very nice finish. Tripped and fell on the hike out and broke the base of my thumb. Typical....WWIII in that chimney, then I forget how to walk (well really I decided to run with a back pack full of gear on).
