Winter Climb from Lost Lake Trailhead
Hiked up the new Lakeside/Blacktail Trail to the top. We encountered 3 feet of snow for the last couple of miles. I expected a 3 hour hike, but it turned into 5. My son and I made it to the top at 5.30 as the last light of the sun was almost gone. The trail is going to be a great addition to the mountain (when it is completed...and especially during the summer). The lower section of the hill, as of today, is quite hike-able and scenic.

Whew this one really beat me up due to the slush on the road and the lack of windshield wiper fluid. A great drive and an even better mountain bike ride or walk, but did neither today.

Awesome trail to take Fido onHiked up and ran down the trail from the Forest Service road out of Lakeside. Totaled 10 miles.
