Beautifulcat! Couldn't you make her face a little brighter?

Re: BeautifulActually, I did. She was back in the shadows and I had to brighten it up quite a bit as it was. I'll see what I can do.

Roxy ...Outstanding job! If you have a photo editing
program, sometimes you have to adjust the
contrast and fill light. Actually, knowing the behavior of bobcats here in central AZ, these cats are very RECLUSIVE and I'm surprised you even got a photo of one. Is there a lake or pond nearby, where they can obtain water???

Re: Roxy ...Still learning some of the photo editing techniques... Yes, bobcats are a very rare find. I have only seen two in the wild ever and both were in this same area this year. First time there was no way to get a picture. I'm sure the only reason she stuck around at all this time was because of her kitten that she had with her hiding in the brush. I wish I could have captured another glimpse of her little one, but felt very fortunate to see as much of her as I did.
P.S. No lake or pond near by, we are in a desert area, very little water to speak of.

A fortunate encounter.Nice that you were able to capture it on film. The picture captures the true elusive nature of wildcats.

Re: A fortunate encounter.Thank you. I am very blessed to live in a place that has an abundance of wildlife, but it is true that it is very difficult to capture all the wonderful things that I see. I have seen one other bobcat chasing a rabbit in the snow, but there was no way to capture that, it happened way to fast. If it had not been for the kitten this time, I am convinced that I would have never had such an opportunity.

Re: Nice `It really was a nice treat for me. This was actually the second time for me. In the same area the winter before, I saw one chasing a rabit through the snow.... no picture opportunity though.
Thanks!
