hello, i attempted that same hike, but mis calculated and ended up driving 5 miles on that dirt road, and took the job peak trailhead. I then attemptd to go cross country from the ridge at job's peak and cut across to jobs sister. This was very hard work throught slog , almost straight up. I was planning on taking the armstrong pass route next. I am glad you posted this report, thanks!
too funny, we actually wanted to do exactly that cross country route you did by mistake, but with the foot or two of new snow, i was concerned about avalanche risk and decided upon the armstrong route. glad you enjoyed the report!
