The herd path to the top behind the lift building was easy to spot, once I got past the two mountain lions having a lover’s spat quite low on the mountain. One hundred and five minutes to the top, where I met someone who gave me good current condition beta on the Idaho 12s. At the bottom was the Mountain Festival with live music, cheap hot food, and cold drinks. A great day!

Nice out
Easy climb to the top, continued on to Snow Peak. Ran into someone else on the way down, seems like we had done a bunch of similar climbs so that was fun. It's rare that I run into anyone at all on some of these hikes

whoops
Didn't see the cat track so went straight up through the bushes... awesome view but smokey.

Winter snowshoe
Snowshoed from the parking area up the switchbacks, and then from the top of the ski lift we hiked the ridge to the saddle, and then the summit. Windy, cold, amazing view.
Nice hike with some good vertical elevation gain - was more of a workout than I though it would be. Nice views from the top.

Bonneville Peak
Hiked up the ski hill, took a right to the end of the groomed area and started up through the path of least resistance. Used GPS to ensure I came back down at the same spot.

Bonneville Peak
From the parking area at the Pebble Creek ski area we followed the service roads up to the top of the higher chair lift. From there it was cross country to Skyline Peak and then along a nice mellow ridge onto Bonneville Peak. This was Idaho CoHP #8.

Fun
This had some of the best views of Idaho,Utah, Montana and Wyoming I have seen. We snowshoed from the upper parking lot in single digit temps. This may be my new winter training hill. 2600 vertical gain and only 1:15 from Idaho Falls.

A nice hike on a very hot day. We had just reached the summit when it started thundering and lightning, a few more minutes at the cairn and then we beat feat back down the scree.

From the top of the chair lift
why climb from the bottom of the hill when the chair lift is running? I'll have to try it again after Pebble closes for the season. The snow sucked though! Wind blown and crusty.

Training Hill
This is one of my local "training hills" to get some vert in early season. Seems like i do it every other year, trading it with Scout Mountain, sometimes both. I've done them both numerous times. The veg can get pretty thick at the point you leave the cat track and start bushwacking. Generally i do this earlier season so that it's not an issue.
Hiked up the Pebble Creek slopes (the ski area was closed for the day). Would be a very quick trip if you took the lift up. Undoubtably, more people go up here in the winter than summer. There was a pretty decent path in the snow all the way to the summit. Good views all around

Pebble Creek
It was raining in the morning and was nice and sunny by the afternoon. There was a lot snow on the east side of the mountain but much less than normal. I could see the Tetons and Wind River Range from the summit.

Just before skiing season
I suppose I could have waited another month and ridden the lift to the top, but I enjoyed the trudge up the slopes and snow covered summit on this cold November day.

Hiked up the ski hill
Amazingly enough, I climbed to the peak in a snow storm on an August day. Everything I had on was soaked by the time I got back to my vehicle. The sun came out about the time I was leaving but now that I have some friends who live at the base of this peak, I will return to climb it in good weather.
