No Summit

Hiked here after summiting several other mountains the past few days. I was suffering from blisters on the feet, so me & the dogs finally turned back. Painful decision but damn those blisters hurt.

Beautiful hike!  Sucess!

Beautiful 5 mile hike through forest, meadows, and high alpine grassy slopes! Loved the broad ridges and slopes covered in vegetation (no boulders and scree!). Amazing views over the Teton Wilderness, towards the Park, and the Leidy Highlands. Unfortunately, the wildfires this year have caused hazy skies all over the region, so the visibility could have been better. Sunny, warm day. We were on high alert for Grizzly bears as we saw a beautiful one playing in a pond within a mile of the start of the trail the previous day while driving. Hiked with RDB.

NE and S Ridges  Sucess!

The photos on the main page were taken on this date, which was during a parched and smoky summer. I've also been on the ridges around this peak in 1977 and 1979, and can attest that in clear conditions the distant views are magnificent, and the area can be quite lush.
