Not Sure
Climbed the NE Couloir to the W Col and followed the W ridge to what we though is the summit. It sure seemed like the high point and there was a makeshift register there, but the map says the summit is at the far SE end of the long summit ridge. We would have had to drop down and follow the ridge for a couple hundred meters more and back up to where the map says the summit is. The photo from Wheeler Crest of this peak sure makes it look like the summit is at the west end of the summit ridge. Seems like the map is wrong.

Quite Fun
Quite enjoyed this trek and found that gaining the summit isn't as loose as some report. Climbing the NE couloir, I stayed far right along the wall, then basically traversed the ridge top to the summit. Fun coming and going!

NE Couloir/NW Ridge
Fun climb once I found the right chute to get to the top. Which by the way..is a two minute walk from the top of the N. Couloir..if you walk any longer you've gone to far, like I did.
The NE couloir to the W Col was fun, but it was quite a bit more than two minutes to what we thought was the summit. Where we were seemed like the highest point and there was a makeshift register there, but the map shows the summit as being at the far SE end of the long summit ridge. I spent four days at Tamarack Lakes and couldn't tell what the highest point is. It seemed to be where we were, but like I said, the map disagrees. It would have taken another fifteen minutes or more to get to where the map says the summit is. We thought we were there because of the register.

NE Chute
A solo outing on what is certainly one of the loosest mountains I've seen in the Sierra. Trip Report
