On the way to Brokeoff Mountain. Back and forth across the stream you go. But at this spot here, I paused and paused to take in the forest, the mountain, the water, in sights and sounds.

Current?

Is this pic recent? I've only been in fall and winter. I need to do a summer trip sometime! Lovely meadow!

Hi Chad, Yes, the picture's very current, the day before yesterday, June 12, 2013. At first I thought it was my eyes, the colors were so vibrant here. But I think it's the freshness of Spring. This little meadow was just saturated with water, and everywhere I went new plants were coming up from the ground. Lassen's beautiful in winter as you know but late Spring wins the prize in my book. Great to be in touch with you here Chad.
