Wire Pass to Whitehouse
Absolutely incredible and well worth doing! Did this as an overnight - made it from Wire Pass to the confluence of Paria Canyon in 9 hours with plenty of picture taking. Waded about 24 pools - a couple up to our waists. Saw 2 rattlesnakes & 3 tarantulas in Buckskin Gulch, and a dead deer in Paria Canyon on our way to Whitehouse Trailhead the 2nd day. Glad we didn't filter water out of the Paria. My recommendation - do this hike!

Wire Pass Mud Slog
I hiked this with my brother as a planned overnight down and back to the confluence. We went in at Wire Pass four days after a major flash flood and found many pools and constant, tiring mud. The first pool was the deepest, requiring carrying our packs on our heads. Due to the mud, our shoes were practically worthless so we chose not to go down the rockfall. The canyon was very interesting and the return to Wire Pass was much quicker than our initial exploration.

Great lighting
I've hiked Buckskin a couple of times, the first time, there was no water in Gulch, not even in the Cesspool, which was awesome. This most recent trip had a little more water, but it made it more exciting! Hiked from Wire Pass to White House in a little over 9 hours. Great hike!

Buckskin
Nice, easy slot canyon. Just a stroll down the canyon, only one little unavoidable pool when I did it (well almost unavoidable- a very difficult chimney or scramble will keep your feet dry). Very nice for a newbie.

The 2nd time we did this in 2010, we also started from Wire Pass then camped 3 nights in the canyon. Then hiked out Lees Ferry. It was still end of April and we got bad weather forcast. Thus I carried wetsuits for just in case. (fortunately, I didn't have to use that)
I brought ceramic water filter that I had to clean up every time I pumped up because its so muddy. Must bring empty plastic bottle for keep the water until all the mud sank down at the camp spot. Wire Pass to Lees Ferry 4days backpacking Trip Report

Buckskin gulch / paria canyon
Such a fun hike. 40 miles in 4 days. Bring plenty of water. There were some nice springs coming out of the cliffs but the last 18 miles the only water was the muddy Paria, which was pretty much impossible to filter.

cold and fun
Hiked upper Buckskin from the trail head down several miles, but not quite to Wire pass. We intended to go down Buckskin and then up Paria, but snow and thunder heads convinced us to take the more conservative route down the Paria to the confluence and then explore up Buckskin. We made it up almost to the middle exit. The rock fall is currently an easy 6' high scramble, under, then over some boulders.

Fabulous
Hiked down Wire Pass and then up Buckskin Gulch through the narrows. Fabulous scenery, great weather, and lots of wildlife. We saw Deer, jackrabbits, and very friendly lizards who weren't at all scared of us :)
