Buckskin Gulch
Despite the T-storm season the weather was pretty dry. Tons of mud at the bottom of the canyon, but other than that it is one of the most spectacular canyon to visit. Our group of six people succesfully completed the 21 mile route in 2 days.

Jack's first slot canyon
My wife, son (Jack, then about six months), and I went in from Wire Pass, which was short but spectacular in its own right. A chockstone in one of the Wire Pass slots made for some tricky climbing with such a little kid, but that made it a little fun, too. I had long wanted to see Buckskin Gulch, and I was glad to get a nice little taste of it, especially without having to get wet.

Wire Pass
Hiked with Mommy and Daddy. I am 10 1/2 months old, so Daddy carried me. We hiked in the evening from Wire Pass, past the confluence with Buckskin Gulch, a bit downstream and then up, and back to Wire Pass, about 4.5 miles total. This was my first slot canyon!

Wire Pass
My third time hiking at Wire Pass, this time with my wife, and I carried DayHikerJr, age 10 1/2 months, for his first slot canyon. We hiked about 4.5 miles total, from the Wire Pass trailhead to Buckskin Gulch, down and up canyon a bit before returning. It had recently rained in the area, so Buckskin Gulch was really wet.

first slot canyon
This was a long 16 miles. It took me and John over 10 hours as we went crazy on taking pictures... Did the Wave 2 days before and then headed to zion for some technical slots. It was an amazing trip!!

Amazing Formations
Spent three days and two nights here; the springs are flowing, and it was HOT on the way out. I will come back!
Well worth the effort of making two trips down to get it done. First trip in Feb was a tough learning experience. Second trip was a little more smooth.... If you get a chance, it is a must do.
Absolutely spectacular run/hike through the canyon. We started from Wire Pass and ran down to the confluence then back up Paria to our camp at White House. Buckskin is very dry right now, only one mud puddle that can be bypassed, Paria had ankle/calf deep water crossings, but nothing major.

Incredible place
Walked from Wire Canyon to 3 mile beyond the confluence with the Paria then back up to White House (overnight). Did it with a bicycle shuttle (that was hard). Cesspool I had to swim along with a couple of other pools
Did the buckskin gulch / Paria Canyon to Lees Ferry. Absolutly a great hike but in the water most of the way. two days

Too much rain!
My first time in a slot canyon. We went from Wire Pass TH in about 4 miles. It started to rain at noon so we double timed it back out. Back at the car it was pouring down rain. I’m glad we got out when we did.

Got stuck - settled for alternate route
Planned on hiking Wire Pass to White House but we got stuck in the mud attempting to cross Buckskin Wash on the way to Wire Pass. Bummed a ride back to White house TH and then drove to Page, AZ where we called AAA roadside service to get a tow back onto dry ground. The next morning, after camping near where we were stuck, we drove to Middle Trail trailhead and hiked down into the Gulch. On the way back to the trailhead, we detoured over to Cobra Arch before heading home. Luckily we were able to salvage a good trip out of the experience despite getting stuck. Included in our group were: Les & Kirk Rekve, Steve & Tyrel Stembridge, Jared and Joe Hall, Chris Hennings, Pete Licio, Diandre, and one other kid who's name escapes me.

An Amazing PlaceA fantastic place to hike. In late May there was still 3-4 ft. water in most places. Would love to go back some day.
