Early Winter Climb
Couldn't find the trail under all that snow, but fortunately it's a pretty straight forward climb.

With Texans in Storm
Strangely, enjoyed this hike with two vacationing Texans. Nicest Dallas boys I've ever met. Was raining down in valley when we were up high. Storms that night and the next morning. Maybe not the best idea to climb, but no thunder until we got down.

With Deming and Eccles
Climbed from Meadow Creek Trail to Deming, then over to Eccles and then up Buffalo. Down Buffalo and circled back to the trailhead via Lily Pad Lake trail. No pup this trip :(
Snow on the ridge and the crux made it spicey enough to keep me on my toes. The ridge is neat. The blue paint arrows were annoying to see in the wilderness.
Since I climbed with Aaron Johnson, I can't improve on his descriptions, only agree with them. Fun scrambling, as you can see from the pictures he attached.

Full Moon Hike
Hiked from Buffalo Cabin. Unplanned last minute ascent, sketchy partners, off route most of the way, in the dark. Much easier after the moon came up. Spent a long, long time on the summit. Must ski the Silver next year.

Really nice Peak with a great view
I got within 500 vertical feet on a couple of occasions only to turn back due to the group or weather conditions. Finally summitted on a really clear day. Truely memorable.
This was the first mountain i summited in colorado 6.5 years ago. Last november went up meadow creek followed ridge from eccles pass Up the back summited and the snowboarded the south couloir down to ,n fork of meadow creek? Shallow wind loaded snow pack

Silver Couloir ski descent
Dan, Mike and I climbed the east slopes to the summit then skied the Silver Couloir. Perfect day, great people on the mountain, amazing skiing. Classic.

Lumpy Gravy
Snowshoed up std route, snowboarded down Silver Couloir from the summit. Condis not bad up top but got wetter and heavier all the way down. Huge debris field at bottom - pretty scary. Would have kicked butt in better snow. Tough uphill slog exit. 4:45 RT

Route Climbed: New Trail
Climbed this on a rest day. Not long but tiresome through the rock field. Good knees and ankles a must have for this hike.
Very nice hike! Fun scramble over to the Sacred Buffalo. Had seen this mountain so many times from the highway - it was finally nice to be on the summit.
When I saw the length of this trail, I thought that it wouldn't be too hard despite the elevation gain; well it was a lot harder than I thought. I have done much longer hikes with a good eal more elevation gain, but nothing this steep for this long. It was the hardest 6 mile hike of my life! The weather was pretty good though, although it was cool (53) and breezy (32 mph) at the top. A great hike with awesome views! I never guessed that the Gore Range on the back side of the mountain was so impressive!

Buffalo Mountain Trail
Snow almost gone, great trainer for the season. Almost did the scramble but opted not to because I started later in the day. Great views, loved the bouldering, as usual enjoyed the company of a trio of mountain goats at the top.
Still a little snow in the trees just before treeline, left the trail early and cut up some talus. This was actually cairned, I guess its the official unofficial offseason route!
The scramble over to "Sacred Buffalo" is definitely the pay-off, the rest of the hike is pretty much just a talus walk.

On the old trail
This was supposed to be an "easy" day - a break from 14ers. A little harder than I expected but a good hike with a bit of cairn rebuilding at the top.
