Great relief from the crowds on the rest of the island
This was a great stroll, and it was fun seeing monkeys and other wildlife in the natural habitat.

Drowning
Can't believe there's a page for this let alone finding out there are/were rock climbing routes! Was sick of Singapore's urban jungle so figured I'd try this one. Like everyone else had never sweat so much in my life. Amazing seeing the wildlife having spent my previous years in the UK where the largest animals you're likely to see are squirrels.
Nice walk in the park as soon as my flight landed for a business trip- very scenic. Lots of macaques on the way down. Never sweat so much with so little effort!

Nice change of scenery from all the strip malls
my friend lives across the street from this hill. it was fun exploring the different trails and seeing the abundant wildlife; monkeys, monitor lizards, and deadly snakes?

I went along with Pradeep and Madhu on this hike. We started climbing at 3.45PM. Since this is a small hill, we reached the summit quickly in about 45 minutes. We climbed down via route 1 (red) and walked all the way to Macritchie. We reached Macritchie at about 8.30 PM. A long hike and quite an interesting one.
What a place! Too bad the Bukit Timah Quarry is flooded and shut now. Good times, good times. When I was young and thin I could squeeze between the grates, guarding the entracne to the tunnel. Walk through this several hundred terrifying muddy meters to the other side, and you'll find yourself on a ledge a few hundred feet off the ground (now water), overlooking the quarry.
Route Climbed: Assorted Date Climbed: Various times over the past decade or two
A great place for an after-work or half day outing. Once we managed to get lost at dusk and resorted to using the dial light on a cell phone as a flashlight to figure out which trail we were on. It took over an hour to find the taxi queue. Who says there are no wilderness adventures in Singapore?
Dairy Farms Quarry was absolutely gorgeous...They had both trad and sport routes, mostly single pitch but could accomidate both the beginner and advance climbers. Easy access. Great Climbing!

Wow, is this place humid! A nice short diversion if you are in Singapore and can't make it to any of the Malaysian mountains. Still, the eye candy is MUCH nicer at Sentosa.
