Good Winter Hike
Was a long, exhausting hike, but not too terrible. Definitely glad that I brought microspikes and an ice axe, but conditions weren't too bad. No need for snowshoes, but thankful I had gaiters.

A Favorite
One of my favorite state highpoints. A fun route, but I would avoid the canyon, and walk along the ridge after Frazer.
Hey Liba - I'm planning to do a early winter ascent of this the 2nd week of December. What would you recommend? Skinning or snowshoes to the summit ridge. Typically is the snow deep enough on the summit ridge for snowshoes?

many timesI used to trail run on this trail all the way to Wheeler peak. I have done it also in the winter on snow shoes. Fun trail.
