After getting to the top
Found a recently killed Elk or deer carcass at the bottom, didn't stay around long to find out what did it.

After China Cap
From Burger Pass. Rainy scramble up after completing China Cap. Climbed up the northeast ridge. Climbed the 1st cliff band on the west side of the ridge, then selectively climbed following protrusions directly up and over or on the east side of the ridge. Not overly difficult, a little loose in places. Signed the ammo box register, I guess how many ammo box registers you sign in the wallowas is a thing. I've signed a few of them now, not entirely sure how many though. Pouring rain the entire hike out.

Cool Ridge
Hiked the rige over from China Cap with Flanders, very fun. Love granite, especially in Oregon where it is so rare. Found a way to scramble up to the basalt ridge and hike to the summit. Took a gully down the north side and went cross country skirting the avalanche field back to the trail. Bunch of flying bugs swarming the summit.

Nice Twofer
Nice climb right after summiting China Cap. Found a nice route down the west ridge to cut some time.

Northwest Ridge Route
I left Buck Creek Trailhead at 5AM and followed trail #1944 to Burger Pass. Then I made my way up the northeast ridge to the summit, arriving at 7:15AM. I then decinded the west ridge and got back to the Trailhead at 8:30AM.
