Sawtooth, Burnt, Liebre
Cycled up 7N23 which was in good shape then rode over to Sawtooth, quite a few up and down sections to get you working!

End of a long day
After driving down from Tracy and bagging Tehachapi and Double Mountain, I was on the way to Ventura and stopped off to tag Burnt Peak. Made it up and down before dark, but I couldn't help but add on the nearby Sawmill Peak (P300) which I had to do by the light of my phone.

Standard Route
Loved the view from topside, kept company by the moon on the way out. Given the drive to the TH, I was surprised to run across two other people.

Burnt
In LA for a few weeks for work and so I figured I'd get in some nice sunny hikes. Instead...cold rainstorm. meh.

Great day for a hike
It was a nice hike and the trail was snow free and easy to follow.

Road
Walked up the road on a very pleasant day. Also climbed Sawtooth and Liebre (drive-up) as well as Tecuya Mountain. There was no snow left on the road - just some puddles. I also saw the LARGE prints on the dirt road that Dundeel mentioned, but thought they might be from a mountain lion.

Burnt with the bears
Parked at the Sawmill Saddle where the summit road gate is. There were a few patches of snow on the road and some parts of the Pine Canyon road were white with frost. Saw LARGE bear tracks in several different places on the hike. Several technicians were at the FAA facility and I talked with them about the hazards around the gear. They said the radiation is not very strong with this type of navigation beacon if you stay at least a 100 feet away. The bigger concern is that someone walking near the antenna can disrupt the outgoing signal and affect the navigation of planes in the area. Because the signal was down for service, they allowed me to wander around inside the fence.
They told me that they would not stand in front of one of the microwave dishes. The beams are very focused.

Wet but fun
With Augie and Tom. Nice hike. I liked Sawtooth the best. Liebre was an easy drive-up. Snowed a bit too.

Fog Heaven
Did this peak with Travis and Tom on a cold, foggy day. We also did Sawmill, Sawtooth and Liebre and got back home early enough for afternoon tea.

More driving then hiking
Windy and cold, should've taken care of Sawtooth and Liebre, now I got to go back.

Not too bad, I guess
Nice easy hike to tag a P2K peak. Did I go inside the fence? I won't say.

Nice
I wouldn't consider Burnt the lamest of the four. That distiction should go to Liebre. In addition, you can check out the alien landing beacon at the top.

With Matthew, hiked Liebre, Burnt, Sawtooth, then drove to Frazier Park to climb Tecuya. Zero views on Liebre due to fog, but the weather improved after that. Burnt was by far the lamest of the four that day. Trip Report
