Where is the pink tri cam?

Is the leader still below the placement?

Re: Where is the pink tri cam?

I have climbed the Original Route on several occasions, and placed that cam only once or twice! It is almost exactly in the middle of the pitch. In this picture, Burton is just above the placement but didn't bother placing it.

Re: Where is the pink tri cam?

No, there were never any bolts on the friction pitch that I have ever seen.

Re: Where is the pink tri cam?

Found the bolt. We climbed the OR on 4/16/05 and there was indeed a bolt about 2/3rds of the way up on the first 5.7R pitch. Of course that was the only pro for the entire pitch.

Wow, right on!

That's new to me, and good to know for the future...

I think I was on this climb

Burton was a fantastic guide. My brother-in-law Rob (who took this pic I think) and B took me up OR. The best and most difficult climb I've ever done. Great experience.
