Early season climb
We were trying to go out Firebrand and up but hit 1 snow field covering the trail and just went up from there. That being said there's not a lot of snow on the mountains for the time of year it is.

Calf Robe
Great day for a climb in the Park. Climbed from Hwy2 via Edwards NE Ridge Route. Made the summit in just over 3 hours. Many possible routes through the cliffs.
Climbed with Colin and Dorothy from Firebrand Pass. Dorothy's first off-trail summit!! I love the views toward the Ole Creek Drainage. Very intriguing isolated peaks there (Eagle Ribs, 8888, etc.!!

Into the Mystic
Climbed with a group of eight great friends on a cloudy July day. We left the trail `3 miles from the trailhead and headed south towards Calf Robe. After leaving the trail, visibility dropped drastically and we hiked in the mist and clouds to the top. A few glimpses of the Ole Creek drainage rewarded us at the top. Great screen run down to the Firebrand Pass. Love this area of the park!
Also climbed with Rebecca Lahr on a picture perfect September (September 14, 2016) day via a similar route as described above. Only difference was we could actually see where we were going this time!
Solo outing on September 9, 2020. Took similar routes as described above. Took the rapid scree descent down to Firebrand Pass and continued on the Continental Divide to the summit of Red Crow. Followed the Divide northward to the next saddle, and followed a glorious game trail down to Lena Lake for a dip! Huckleberries were in full force along the open slopes of the trail to Firebrand Pass.

Pothole to the top
Bagged Calf robe yesterday in the clear before the storm, conditions up until the ascent/descent from firebrand pass were OKAY for snowshoes. Got pretty breezy!! Snow wasn't consolidated at steep angles and I potholed to the summit. Reached it late afternoon, with gusts of wind up to 70 mph ontop. I went right back down without trying to look for a view, conditions were bittersweet. Went back to my car at the first summit trailhead with a note on my car saying someone was looking in the windows!!

Best Time in Two Medicine Area
Many Thanks, FlatheadNative, for introducing me to this mountain. This was a great time. Cliffs to right of streambed were stiff challenge for us. Lots of Goats. Descent Scree-tacular to Firebrand pass. I witnessed a virtual river of scree during this descent.

Northeast ridge route
Climbed early and dealt with the snow. A little slip and slide here and there. No large critters spotted - okay with me.
This one gives you the feeling of being on the backside of nowhere even though you can see and hear the trains running all day.
