Looks like a beautiful place. I did a Google search, there's lots of stuff on the web about Grandfather and surrounding peaks. You should add more info. Flying squirrels, Wilson creek....
Consider adding access to the peak via the Grandfather trail. This trail is 2.4 miles from the swinging bridge parking lot. Summit also via Profile, Shanty Spring and crest trail on the west side of mountain (NC 105), a distance of 3.5 miles. This mountain deserves respect, in winter there is ice and high cliffs; not a good combo. On a single digit, windy, snowy day the wind chill will exceed -40.
