Long Drive
Long drive from NJ. 'Got there on Sat around 10:30am. Big gate was closed, but the smaller one was open. Walked up to the big water tower where the HP is just beside it. Nice day. Had the place all by ourselves. HP #22.

2nd of the day
20th state high point! Got a little confused by the one way sign pointing away from top, but still only took a few seconds.
Was in Columbus for work. Took the little drive to bellefontaine and hi-point school to chalk up high point number 28. I rarely would have gotten another chance to do this one. So I'm glad it's over.

HP #2
Really nice location. The kids loved running up and down the actual grass hill while I rested on the bench after the 10 foot hike from the car. :-)

Fifth HP
The benches on top and flag pole are a good addition. This was the 5th on a trip of 16 HP's. If you have a chance while in Ohio go to Dayton to the Wright-Patterson Air Force Museum. Only an hour away and well worth it!

HP #1
We got there at about 4:00pm and were lucky as the gates were still open. (told they close at 3:30) Drove on up, and succesfully took a picture of ourselves together, as there was no one else around, then made our way to Indiana's highpoint.

SHP #16
Took the circuitous route from Hoosier Hill, down to Miami University first. (Beautiful campus, by the by.)
Phone calls to the center earlier in the week were not returned, and everything was locked up by late afternoon / early evening. So I had to ninja in. Did so quietly, didn't linger. Poor etiquette, no excuses, etc. I know; no need for reprimand. It would have been nice to hear back from someone, though.
Made this quick stop after camping at Buck Creek Lake the night before. It wasn't really a peak, but we parked and made the ascent without breaking a sweat. I had my 5 and 3 year old kids in tow. Only 48 more to go on the state high points.

#2 Highpoint, 48 to Go
Made our 2nd Highpoint! Campbell Hill Ohio. Missed it on Sat. 14th because we didn't get here until after the gates were closed so we stopped on our way back from a trip to Columbus.

Campbell Hill
SHP #15 for me. Personally, I am enjoying some of the easier ones... I know that some of them are going to be a lot of work!
The Highpointers Convention 2011 had their registration right at the summit. Still it is worth visiting the place and seeing the farmland that helps feed this country.

Nice place
Drove here from Hoosier Hill on our way back home. Yeah, I'm half way. Though life is a journey, not a destination. #25 for me, #12 for Lillian. The school does a nice job maintaining the "summit". This one actually has a modest view. We got a kick out of the certificates that are available.
After Black Mountain and Hoosier Hill the two previous days, this little nub next to a career school was a sight for sore eyes. The climbing log was too wet to sign but I got a sweet participation certificate.
