"Got tight last night on absinthe and did knife tricks. Great success shooting the knife into the piano. The woodworms are so bad and eat hell out of all furniture that you can always claim the woodworms did it."

Untitled CommentGreat start. I drove up it once on a family vacation in my foolish days of youth, before I truly appreciated a good mountain, but have driven by it several times. Thanks for putting it on SummitPost!

Untitled CommentThis was a cool place to visit. The volcanism in NE New Mexico was unknown to me before arriving there last July.
Note, interestingly, there seems to be a slight difference between these two links (you used the latter):
www.nps.gov/cavo

Untitled CommentGood stuff. I would never have guessed that New Mexico had volcanoes ? And yes, I'm from the states.

Untitled CommentStrange looking place! You are right: I certainly had no idea this stuff was in New Mexico. Thanks for the information.

Untitled CommentWhat a cool place!
I've got to check my father-in-law's photographs to see if this is one of the volcanoes he visited just before he became ill from cancer. I know he drove to very near the summit of one and took photos of the caldera.
