Ascended via Pen Yr Ole Wen. A nice cloud inversion when walking along the ridge.

From Carnedd Llywelyn
Linked from Carnedd Llywelyn after an ascent of the Black Ladders via the Eastern Gully. Nice views of all of Snowdownia from the summit!

Fine weather return
Walked up from Bethesda into the valley below Carnedd Daffyd with Ken and Colin on a beautiful summer day. We ascended the craggy ridge of Grib Lem and arrived at the summit shelter before heading over towards Llewelyn for a descent back into the valley. We had intended to return via Llewelyn and Yr Elen but cut our trip short as Colin had gashed his shin on ascent of the ridge.

Up from Ogwen valley
Went up via the east side of Pen y ole Wen, (not the full frontal very steep route), and then onto Carnedd Llewellyn. Dreadful day with high wind and very low visibility, so saw virtually none of the views!

Great Day Great Weather:
Done this summit from the Ogwen Valley via Pen y Ole Wen then on across the ridge to Carnedd Llewelwyn. Returned via the ridge east of the great reservoir above the Ogwen Valley. Crystal clear weather with views for miles even as far the Lakes and Isle of Man...!
Nice for the weather to be like that as its a heck of a drive from Kent.

Wet and Misty
Climbed after the Llech Ddu Spur on a three day hike across Snowdonia, trying to get myself into some lonely areas of the mountains. Climbed last April, also in the rain and mist so have yet to see the views offered from the top!
In winter after climbing on Black Ladders (Ysgolion Duon) in summer as part of Carneddau horseshoe, after climbing on Llech Ddu, after scrambling Llech Du Spur and of course as part of Welsh 3000s.
Always summit cloud when I've completed it, so never get the views! Easy scrambling across the road from Ogwen Cottage until it flattens out into more of walk. Definitely combine with Llewelyn if you've got the time.

Having lived in North Wales I've climbed this a number of times including a couple of 14 peak round trips. I once nearly got struck by lightening on the ridge to Llewellyn from Dafydd, one of the girls in group had her hair standing totally on end
I've visited this summit on a longer route that included the summits of Pen yr Ole Wen, Carnedd Llywelyn, Yr Elen and Pen yr Helgi Du. Was as cloudy as hell and I could see bugger all.

Cwm Llafar Horseshoe
My wife and I climbed this on an incredibly windy day. We enjoyed the scramble up the Llech Ddu ridge but had to hold on for dear life due to the gale force winds.
