First climb
54 degrees and misty in August??? Climbed into low-hanging clouds during my hike on Cascade and Porter. Awesome hike, though. Just wish the views were better. Maybe next time.

Route: From Route 73
Hiked many times with Deerfoot Lodge. Went up with some friends. It was the first of the 46 for my wife and our toddler (rode in the backpack).

Great views!
I would say the bast view in the Dack's. Very easy hike but fun. It was -15 the night before and when we got to the summit the temperature was 0. No crowds.
Avoid this trail on weekends in summer. Nice hike and summit block when crowds are absent

A Great Start!
My first 46er! Pretty easy hike but a good solid incline. The most amazing views that appear from an open face below the summit. The views from the Summit are even more breathtaking! Windy October day... probably 30mph sustained. thought i was going to be blown off. Hit up Porter Mtn. too. Nice half day hike.
Nice hike, pretty easy as far as the High Peaks are concerned, great hike for dogs! We coupled it with Porter made a nice morning, glad we went early, we were second group to the summit and passed probably 100 other hikers on the way down! Still a great day hike

Easy High Peak
Nice easy peak that we did pretty quickly. A lot of people on the summit but that was to be expected. Great views.

Cascade Mountain
Climbed via the Cascade Mountain Trail from Route 73. My first peak in the Northeast over 4000' and not my last one either. A few minutes after summiting the fog burned off and we had fantastic views of the Great Range. Lots of people on a Saturday afternoon but it didn't detract form the mountain's splendor.

From Porter
Headed over from Porter. Had the summit to ourselves. Gorgeous day! Enjoyed the sunshine and stayed at the summit to have lunch. Some of the best views I've seen (usually fog, rain, clouds ruin things!). Fun peak and you can't beat the views! 19/46
I've been on this peak numerous times, and will forever be beat up by my friends for taking a date up it in winter. She survived! She dumped me afterwards, though.

From route 73
Climbed this one a couple of weeks ago with the whole family. A great little peak and everyone was having fun. Of course that was before a storm hit us on the summit and rained on us the rest of the day!

First
My first High Peak. Loved the rocky dome, pools of water, moss, and the view. Being 6, I wanted to "slide" down Big Slide. Remember wanting to climb over to Porter but my dad wouldn't allow it (so we just had to come back years later).

one of the best
Does this several times. I know I'll get some argument but its one of the best. Its short and relatively easy so its great when there is not much time, or for taking that friend who wants to see what the high peaks are all about, and hell its got one of the best summit views.
