Sweet!

What route did you take? Where did you start and stop? It looks like maybe you're on the PCT? Or is it the Bubb's Creek side where you are?

Re: Sweet!

Very cool, thanks. Do you think there's much avy danger on that route? It's something I've always wanted to do.

Re: Sweet!

That is an epic trip! I hope you had other pics from that trip and you would post them as an album!

Avalanche danger

There is significant avalanche danger on the Tioga Road. I didn't think there was much avalanche danger elsewhere on the route - until I saw an avalanche from a dome (see this photo). So I guess any winter travel comes with some avalanche danger.

Inspiring!

Just looking at the picture makes me want to climb it, very Third Encounters. Don't forget to add the image to the main Cathedral Peak page! Looking forward to the rest of your slides. I have a lot of non-digital shots that need converting too.

BING!

great pic, I have camped right there! Somewhere near shore is some exposed rock that offers good low impact camping during the summer. What a beautiful place. Plus, I heard John Muir himself did the first ascent of the peak.

Cool place, huh? Glad to hear that you're another low-impact camper!
