Part of a multi day trek
We stopped and had lunch on the bunion on a gorgeous day in the Smokeys and were treated to some amazing views. I really want to climb it again in the winter and see a snow covered Le Conte and Kephart from the bunion.

What a view
Climbed on day two of a three day trip. Crossed over from Le Conte on the Boulevard. Perfect weather.

Via Kephart Prong/Sweat Heifer
A nice hike up Kephart Prong past the remains of the CCC camp. I hiked down via Dry Sluice Gap and Grassy Branch.
Did this as part of a multi-day trip through the park. The climb from Newfound Gap is tough, but it is totally worth it.

Beating the haze
Started north from Newfound Gap before sunrise to try and see the sunrise from here. The early start was worthwhile; I was rewarded with great views before haze eventually took over.

Amazing Day & Company
This was my second time to the Bunion. The weather was beautiful and sunny, the views were clear and deep, and good company made the day much better than the first. :)

From AT
Summitted while doing a 30 mike trip along the AT from Newfound Gap to Davenport Gap with my brothers. Spent some time on Charlies Bunion to take in the views.

An Impressive Pinnacle
We hiked from Newfound Gap. It was really hazy. After we got to the top of the Bunion, we continued north on the AT for a few miles and then turned around. The haze lifted as we approached the Sawteeth and the Bunion appeared very impressive indeed.

AT to Charlie's Bunion
7.9 mile hike from the lookout down the AT. Recommend you scramble up above the bunion, great view looking down. Hit some rain on the way back, but not too bad

Haze on the Bunion
Not the best views... but typical for April. A beautiful dayhike to "the Bunion" from Newfound Gap.

Day hike from NFGAlso tagged it going north on the AT in 1960. The loss of forest cover was saddening
